Pipe insulation made from glass-fiber reinforced plastic (GRP), the highest mechanical wear resistance for trenchless pipe jacking
Glass-fiber reinforced plastic is an extremely durable material that we use as a protective coating for optimal work in the area of trenchless pipe jacking. In contrast to conventional PE/PP pipe insulation, this is a hard layer of fiberglass and synthetic resin that acts as an additional protective coating around the pipe. The GRP is cured using UV light, without mixing in hardening agents or catalysts. This innovative technology allows the plastic to be cured quickly and completely at any time. In addition to the 5-mm-thick protective shell, the product range was also expanded to include skid plates in early 2011.
No damage has been reported since the product was introduced in 1996.
